Adventures beyond wonderland Review

If you have ever fancied an adventure through a floating castle that looks like a chessboard, this might be your lucky day.

Playtech’s Ash Gaming has come up with an enchanting new video slot that takes you beyond the Wonderland we all know and love and into a brand new world.

Based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland stories, this five-reel slot has 243 paylines in the base game and an RTP of 94.6% to go along with its medium volatility level.

The graphics are vibrant and beautifully done, depicting a grassy hilltop with unusual, slightly alien-looking flowers and mushrooms under an autumnal tree, overlooking the floating castle.

Fans of Alice in Wonderland will recognise the characters that appear on the reels, including the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat and, of course, Alice herself.

Features

There is no soundtrack as such, although there are sound effects that occur while the reels are spinning and when wins land.

The game comes with multipliers of up to x10, wilds (which substitute for all symbols except the scatter), and various bonus games, such as Falling Alice, which creates a stack of wild symbols.

If you manage to obtain the potion in this part of the game, you will be rewarded with extra wild reels and up to 2187 ways to win for the duration of the bonus game.

You should also keep an eye out for the Cheshire Cat free games, which occur if you’re lucky enough to land scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5.

Here, you’re transported through the rabbit hole to a night-time scene where the plants glow in the dark and the Cheshire Cat grins at you from the sidelines.

The Cheshire Cat wild can appear on any spin and it becomes attached to the reels. It can then expand up to the size of three symbols, moving other symbols out of the way and expanding the reels.

Finally, there is the Caterpillar Bonus Bubbles feature. This occurs when the Caterpillar blows a Bonus Bubble over reel 4. The bubble will shift one position to the left during each spin until it disappears upon shifting away from reel 2.

Watch out, because Alice may fall down reel 2, 3 or 4 during any spin in the main game! If this happens, the reel she falls down will fill with stacked wild symbols. If she happens to fall over a Bonus Bubble, it will burst, revealing the bonus inside.

Alice can also grow to the size of two or three reels, meaning that two extra reels will become filled with wild symbols as she falls past them.

Like most slot games, the gameplay of Adventures Beyond Wonderland is fairly straightforward.

You can press the Spin button at the bottom of the screen to spin the reels.
